Hi,
This is my first time posting on here. I'm curious if anyone knows this subject enough to get me an exact answer since I've received a few different responses for this question. Will an MCAT test date of May 18th make me late in the admissions process by any stretch whatsoever since applications officially open June 1st and scores take (from what I've heard) a month to get back. Some people tell me that the reason I will not be late at all is due to the fact that applications take a few weeks to be verified and MCAT scores are not required for application submission. I would really appreciate a solid answer as well as any additional application timeline knowledge.

I took my MCAT May 20th for this cycle and got early interviews and got accepted to my top school as well. You’ll be fine! One piece of advice I would have though, and something many people will tell you, is to apply broadly! I would say 15+ schools, and to have secondaries done ASAP! Best of luck, friend!

May is not late! Start working on your application as soon as it opens and be ready to submit once your score is released.

You could go ahead and submit your application on Day 1 and just put a couple of schools on it (your state schools). That way, you'll get verified quickly. Once you get your score back, you could then add additional schools as appropriate, based on what sort of score you get.

Good luck!

May is great, that's what I did!
