Hi everyone.

Thanks for reading and answering.

My main concern is that after this semester, I will be done with my core prerequisites except Orgo1&2 w/labs, and Physics 1&2 w/ labs. I am paying for every single class myself (saved it all while I worked after undergraduate, though I took extra loans to pay for this past two semesters ).

I have exactly the amount for the prerequisites I have left, but I can fit at least 3 more extra classes in there. I am considering Microbiology, Physiology & Biochem 1. The problem is the following. Microbiology is offered in both fall in spring at my school, but Physio and Biochem are not. Physio is offered spring, and Biochem is offered fall only.

My schedule seems way to easy for the following year & half,

Fall
Orgo1&Lab
Physics 1& lab
Microbiology

Spring
Orgo2&Lab
Physics2&Lab
Physiology

Fall
BIOCHEM (only)
** I could fit Histology here. I was also thinking of taking Physics 2 here. I wish I could have the summer to prepare for the class because the Winter break is too short to prepare. I usually prepare for fall classes during the summer. However, then my spring will look as a breeze.

What if I don't have the money to pay for the extra classes and only have money for those 4 classes that I NEED? Will it ruin my chances?

Also, this semester I was supposed to take Physics 1 however I withdrew same with Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy, did I ruin my chances for dropping this two classes?

I was full time last semester, with BIO2+Lab+Math (basic algebra)+CHEM1+Labs.

Now I am taking Molecular Bio & CHEM 2& Lab.

My extracurricular activities are not as diverse, I did 25 hrs of shadowing last summer (i pretend to do much more than that). I worked as tutor last fall, but my tutoring experience goes back to my sophomore year of undergraduate so I have about 4 years of experience combined. I also worked as a research assistant in a Psychology lab. However, I am not working right now mostly because I wanted to focus and increase my GPA (3.7 as right now), and study for DAT.

Will dedicating my life to volunteering next year will look good on my applications? If I have maybe 500 hrs of volunteer hours, and 500hrs of shadowing would it compensate for an "easy" schedule.

I honestly think I won't be able to get in, adcoms will look at my transcript + GPA, and be like, nahh to easy, next...

Again thanks everyone, I think we are all stressed with our lives and honestly, I had not idea this road would be so hard. Yes, the classes are not a problem, the problem is looking sharp, superstudent, we did it all. I wish I've done this younger, I used to work 3 jobs + 17 hrs per semester, but with this Biology classes I am not so sure I can do that, but volunteer yeah, it's more doable. I am 27 years old, hope I don't finish dental with more grey hair than I should 🙂
