I decided a little late that I wanted to pursue medical school. By the time I had, I was already in pharmacy school. I didn't want to quit and have to take a year off from school or go an extra year since I would finish pharmacy school in 6 years anyway. Plus I figured it would be a good backup if med school didn't happen. I graduate in May 2009 and am currently applying to schools. I took the mcat last friday so no score yet... GPA: 3.95 . I've heard conflicting stories from people about how med schools view other degrees. Some say that they don't want to retrain somebody with a professional degree. Others say it makes me unique. Anyone have any experience?
