Matriculating this Fall and I'm already asking the tough questions, I know. Every day like clockwork I have to get down with the brown between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM and it always lasts like 15-20 minutes, and I often have to go again like an hour or two later to clean the pipes. I can't go right when I wake up or later at night and it's gotten to the point where my boss has even commented on why I am in the bathroom so much. It's embarrassing dude, mind your own business!

I'm worried this is going to affect me on rotations, especially like surgery. Maybe it's my diet, idk. Any experiences for training your body to have different pooing habits?

Your clinical rotations don't start until your third year, so don't worry about that. You can start training yourself so that you can go early in the morning as opposed to mid-day. You may also need to talk to your PCP about that since I suspect there's some improvements you can make to improve your bowel movement (e.g. not lasting >10 mins, not going twice within an hour, etc).

Ho.Lee. ****. Is this a real threa/concerns??? Lol

Pre-clinical years: don't go to class, problem solves.
Clinical years: watch your diet, don't eat huge meals, or just excuse yourself, problem solves.
If you have IBS, maybe try loperamide?

Loperamide until your day off, then full bowel reg including lactulose on your day off.

You're welcome.

Easy enough, Just **** your britches.

If you are serious, I think you should visit a GI specialist and talk to them about this, my guess is you might have IBS or something else. I met a patient that had a similar issue, even had a colonoscopy that showed no abnormalities, it was deduced that the patient had IBS, which over 45 million people have, some people believe its related to diet, others to stress.

Pound 3 cups of coffee at 5am when you start your day, you'll be ready to drop the kids off at the pool in no time

Opiates will keep it in until you want to release it, but you're going to have to wait about 3 or 4 days to poop.

*this is a joke don't do this*

Why does he need GI? You just diagnosed him, bro.
