Will PT schools look at how non-prereqs affected my prereq GPA on PTCAS?

I filled out and submitted my PTCAS application a while back and they gave me my calculated GPA for sciences and such. However, when I filled out my application, I put upper level science courses such as genetics, organic chemistry and biochemistry in the same category as my prereqs (biology & chemistry). The lower scores from these classes were calculated into my science GPA and brought it down.

Will PT schools just look at the calculated GPA PTCAS provided? Or will they look at the prereqs and calculate it on their own as well? I hope they do :/

Any insight would be helpful, thanks!

Some schools just look at what PTCAS says. Some have their own way of calculating things that they do. PTCAS gives you a bunch of different GPA's. There should be one that is a core pt prereq GPA that doesn't have those upper level classes you mentioned then both those science classes and your prereqs will be in the science gpa, math and science gpa, etc.
