I took a class in the Psychology department of my school called "Statistics". The class was totally about Statistics, and had nothing to do with Psych. Can I list, and will it count towards my BCPM GPA? Thanks for any help.
I did. However, I had to take another Statistics class in the Psychology department. The class is literally just called Statistics.I doubt it seeing as how it was in the psychology dept. If you wanted a statistics course that counted towards BCPM, why not take the one offered by your applied math dept?
Why not? Is there a limit to the number of classes that get counted as BCPM?Haha well then I really doubt they would let you count a second stats class towards BCPM.
AMCAS didn't take my stats class as BCPM because it was in a social science department, so I'm going to go ahead and say it probably won't take your psych stats class.
Really? I know people who had their statistics courses in their social sciences count as BCPM. Maybe your class wasn't titled as "Statistics", wasn't totally statistics? Do you dispute with them, provide a description of the class?AMCAS didn't take my stats class as BCPM because it was in a social science department, so I'm going to go ahead and say it probably won't take your psych stats class.
I remember vaguely being told that a course HAD to be listed under a course number designation of Bio, Chem, Physics or Math to count for your BCMP.
Has something changed? I REALLY hope so because I have a Psychobiology class and Stats for Neuroscience that were absolutely science/math courses but offered by my Psych department and coded PSYU
