So I took Intro to Cellular Biology my freshman year and received a "C". Here is a link to the course description.

I just recently graduated and now would like to retake this course before applying to medical school which means I need to take it before the summer is over. I planned to take it at a local community college so I went to my institutions transfer credit site to see which courses can be transfered in place of Intro to Cell Bio. One of these courses is General Biology II (BIOL 151), here is the course description.

As you can see the course descriptions are not exactly identical, however like I said my undergraduate institution allowed this in place of Intro to Cell Bio. I tried bringing this up to AACOMAS support but they will not assist me because I have not taken the course yet. Before I take it I was hoping to hear from you all and see what you thought? Will it count as a repeat or not?

Btw getting an A in this course would bring my sGPA from a 3.1 to a 3.3, so it is a big deal to me

So even the fact that my undergraduate institution accepts this in place of the original class will most likely not be enough to convince AACOMAS?

I would call AACOMAS, but they usually accept retakes if the names are VERY similar and have the same number of credit hours.

It seems like BIOL 150 is the equivalent, not 151. I don't think it'll replace with 151.
