Hey guys. So i've applied to an internationally indexed medical journal for a position as a Regional Chairperson(promoting the journal in my medical school) and as a Proof Reader. I've also been appointed as Regional Chairperson of the Medical Society that the Journal belongs to.

Could you guys let me know if all this will look good on my CV as well as whether it'll make my profile "pop" to a residency director.

I am in the top 10 of my class and also have 2 research projects currently underway.

Any sort of advice will be appreciated!

Don't you need at least an MD or PhD before becoming an editor for one of these journals?

nope not always. if you have an extensive CV, you'll get invited to offer your free time to journals.

Do things because you want to, not to impress some PD you don't even know. And no, it's not "impressive", though it is a different EC than most people. And could be helpful as something to talk about while interviewing. Your board scores, AOA status, and med school rank will do much more getting invites than anything.
