Hey,
I am in the process of withdrawing from Spring 2009 semester. I do have documented personal/medical reasons, but I'm wondering how bad this may look on a transcript. 6 Ws in all 🙁
my fall 2008 semester wasn't too pretty either...ended up with a 3.3 gpa, not counting the 5 hours of A grades I got at a CC (not sure how that will factor in though)
thanks for your thoughts!

W's will look a lot b etter on your transcript than F's.

If you have to withdraw, do it, but you do have to start racking up A's when you get back or you'll have a tough time getting into med school.

Since you have a documented reason, they will likely not assume you were flunking out. The important thing is that you address the underlying problem and that you make whatever changes you need in order to address the situation.

Most crucial is that when you return to school you have a very strong performance- all As would be nice 😉- if you do very well, then the 6 Ws will become old news

oh wow, you have no idea how glad i am to hear about this. I mean, I'm sorry for your situation, but I just withdrew from my term because my dad is battling some legal issues and I needed to help my mom run the family business. So, I hope that what everyone is saying is that if I come back with all A's then my W's will be okay. I have 6 as well...
