As the Williamsburg Therapy Group continues to expand, it is proud to offer one of the first full-service therapy collectives to serve the growing Williamsburg community and our UWS residents. The practice was developed to meet the needs of this dynamic and vibrant neighborhood, brightening the lives of local residents in need of mental health care. The Psychologists and Psychiatrists at Williamsburg Therapy Group have diverse backgrounds, with areas of practice that benefit many in the neighborhood. Founded by Dr. Daniel Selling, Williamsburg Therapy Group is a growing practice staffed with top doctoral-level psychologists and psychiatrists with years of experience in both private and public spheres of the mental health profession. Dr. Selling also brings varied and relevant experience from his private practice on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
Dr. Selling and his group, which includes Harvard trained Dr. Jason Hershberger, a consulting psychiatrist, incorporate tenets of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Solution Focused Therapy and Psychoanalytic Theory to provide patients with customized and practical solutions to achieve a more balanced, fulfilling life.
In addition to his role as Director of the Williamsburg Therapy Group, Dr. Selling serves as the Executive Director of Mental Health and Director of Substance Abuse Treatment for the New York City jail system. He also maintains a well established private practice on the Upper West Side.
