Admit2Med features a personalized approach to admissions. Our founders Miriam & Yael work with each applicant. We do not farm out your essays or interviews to anonymous "teams". Our services include mock interviews for both traditional and MMI formats, essay editing for D.O. and M.D. applicants and waitlist services.

Post a question or comment about Admit2Med and be entered to win a one hour strategy session with one of our experts!

Yes, we absolutely do. We have had several clients go to medical school in Texas and we are very proud of their achievements! We also have waitlist services for Texas students, as the timeline is slightly different than for other schools.

do you help with secondaries?

Hi! Thank you for offering this! Just to get a better idea of what this is--is this an overview glance at our entire application package or a session where we can focus on any portion of the application we feel is important?

do you help with secondaries?

Yes, we have worked with students on secondaries. Since different students have widely different needs when it comes to secondaries we prefer to talk with each student about how much editing they will need and create custom pricing. In this way every student pays only for what they require.

Great question! Our one hour strategy session is such a great service because it can focus on anything a student desires - excluding editing. Most students in the beginning stages of a premed journey like to discuss what classes to take, activities etc. Students preparing applications like to talk about application strategy or particular pieces of the application they find most challenging.

On average, how much do your services run?

Every student has different needs and we are willing to customize services and pricing accordingly. However if you want something "off the shelf" we have a list of services that have served many of our clients well. For a comprehensive list of those prices please click the following links:

Medical School
Dental School

We also work with pre-vet students, residency applicants and students applying for combined degrees. We know everyone has different financial capabilities and we work with you to find something that works within your budget.

Thank you! That's great to know!

Is there a typical recommended number of strategy/editing sessions that your company would recommend as a baseline for medical school application success? Are strategy sessions done via Skype, over the phone, or through email? Also, I would like to be entered into the raffle for a free one hour session.

Thank you,
BB

For an out-of-state student (good stats & EC's, of course) that would absolutely love to go to medical school in Texas, would you be able to help increase my chances somehow??

Do you offer any kind of scholarships to pay for your services for meritorious or financial need-based students?

Can we use a one-hour strategy session to help plan for our gap year?

How does Admit2med help international or Canadian students gain acceptance to US medical schools? Do you help w/residency applications?

Were any of these students out-of-staters?

Also, do you have a package just for personal statement editing and brainstorming?

How many advisors does your company have that are available to work with students?

Do you offer free office hours along with the consulting package?

An applicant should not need more than one essay editing package, unless they are writing essays for multiple courses of study - M.D. and D.O. for example.. However, if they elect to go with hourly editing, then we ask to see the essay so we can give an accurate quote for how many hours you will need. There is no baseline as there is no student with the exact same capabilities as the other. Some students have great essays and only need a content review. Others need full line by line editing. We don't believe in selling services you don't need.

Most students do not need more than one strategy session to determine their goals and if they will need further services. A student who does not have a premed adviser and wishes to use Admit2Med instead might need 1-2 sessions a year.

Strategy sessions are done through skype or google video, unless the applicant prefers the phone. They are not done through email. In addition applicants in New York City can have an in person session if desired.

The answer is yes and no. We can increase your chances by ensuring you have the best application materials possible and that they are submitted on time. We can help you prepare for your interview so you make a good impression. We can steer you towards schools that are more out of state friendly. What we cannot do is change the fact that the majority of Texas schools - in their charter! - are required to take a high percentage of in state students. We simply try and increase your odds at the few open spots.

Unfortunately we do not receive any outside funding except for the fees paid by our clients. We therefore cannot afford to work for free. We do offer small discounts for those with histories of military service or dire financial need on a case by case basis.

How does Admit2med help international or Canadian students gain acceptance to US medical schools? Do you help w/residency applications?

The biggest factor differentiating these students is that many schools do not accept applications from international or Canadian students. School selection is key, as is making sure you complete all requirements the school may have for Canadian or international students. After that, everything is fairly similar to a U.S. student with a few subtle differences.

We love working with residents! We assist with the ERAS essay, interview prep and C.V. prep.

Were any of these students out-of-staters?
The majority of our Texas applicants have been in state. Only 1-2 have been out of state and they had strong connections to Texas which we helped them highlight.

When we do school selection with students we make it clear which schools are not out of state friendly and most elect to spend their limited funds on schools more friendly to their application. That being said, if your financial resources allow you to apply to schools that take few out of state students, we welcome a challenge!

Also, do you have a package just for personal statement editing and brainstorming?
We accommodate any combination of services. If we don't have an official listed service for what you want, then we create custom pricing.

How many advisors does your company have that are available to work with students?
We pride ourselves on being a small, personal service. We have two founders: Miriam and Yael and students work directly with us! We do not farm you out to unnamed, untrained, inexperienced "team members" and we take only the clients we can give full attention to. That's the way we think premed advising should work.

Our turn around time is generally 24-72 hours for services like essays and we have accommodated some odd hour requests from clients. We know you are busy. We work around your schedule.

In fact all questions in this thread are being answered by Miriam. Should you send us an inquiry through our contact us link either Miriam or Yael will reply - not a random person in a call center or email answering service.

Hey I understand that you help students throughout all stages of their medical school journey, but when do you think is the best time a student should reach out to the service company such as yourself( 2-3 months before applications are due? after apps?)

Also if you have to pinpoint one stage if possible, what stage of the application process can make or break a student's chances of getting in medical school (let's assume they have just above average GPA/MCAT/a little shadowing). Is it the interview?
