Anyone know what they are? On their site it's being updated, but Dell is offering a huge discount to people at my work until the end of April...
Any $400 laptop is going to be a piece of crap, dell or not.DownonthePharm said:Call their tech department. Even so you might want to buy the Dell anyhow.
Im sure they wont kick you out of school if your computer isnt the fastest and biggest on the block. Most minimum requirements are set up so you can handle their wireless network and any streaming video and whatnot they throw at you.
Im assuming your buying a laptop, so be forwarned that many people, while happy with their Dell desktops, are very unhappy with Dell laptops. There is a reason they are $400. You might want to cruise some of the other forums on here for some recs, I know I saw a laptop thread....
TELL ME ABOUT IT! I ordered it 2 days ago and it should come tomorrow. I did quite a bit of research, and for students it seems that the motion le 1600 is the best. Dell sells it, go to their website and do a search for it. It doesn't have3 a keyboard or cd rom drive, so you have to buy them seperately... I got the wireless keyboard and mouse for $50 from them and a DVD CD RW for $88. All in all, it's very pricy but I think it's worth it (I hope anyway!) Also, I went with the 12 inch screen and 1.5gHz. Toshiba has one that also seemed good, but I read a review that said that the handwriting recognition software sucked and that's something that I feel is important. Anyone have any input?DownonthePharm said:What brand/model of tablet did you get? Thats what Im leaning toward. Something about being able to "write" on the screen has that neato factor for me.
