I have been invited to an interview. How did yours go? Do you know their timeline for giving out acceptances? Thanks.

The interview went well!! There's no reason to be nervous at all. It was very conversational. I got my acceptance within a week

Also, are the interviews completed in a small group or individually? How many students are they accepting for the cohort? Do you know if many have applied? I have interviewed at two programs and both programs stated that they have had fewer applicants this year than in the past years. Do you plan on attending Wingate? I understand it’s a newer program.

Yes, it was an individual interview. Just be yourself. That is what they want to see. The writing sample was very laid back and wasn't what I expected at all. I wouldn't worry about that part. They have 4 interviews total, I attended the second one offered. There were 20 people in my interview session and the others get waitlisted. The committee said that they usually go through the entire waitlist, so if you get an interview, your chances of getting in are pretty high. I loved Wingate but the area kinda threw me off. I am waiting to hear back from a school that is closer to home for me.

As for my stats
GPA: 3.8 overall and about the same for pre-reqs
120 OT shadowing hours in 4 different settings
5000+ hours in extracurricular activities & community service

They have 4 interviews total, I attended the second one offered. There were 20 people in my interview session and the others get waitlisted. I feels like it is in the middle of nowhere. The university is pretty but you'd have to drive 20-40 minutes to do something. If I do attend Wingate I will opt to live closer to Charlotte

I saw the campus once a few years ago. It is a nice campus. I don’t remember much about the area other than it didn’t appear to be very large.

I emailed them about a week before my interview that I would not be attending due to being accepted to my number 1 choice!
