What do we do during Winter Break? I am going home for a week, coming back to school for a few days, then going back home for a few days. Do I just email the schools to let them know? I am worried about missing the snail mail. I know some schools email you so I am not worried about that but I don't want to miss the snail mail when I am home during Christmas. However, I don't want them to send it to my home address and have it get there after I leave. What should I do?

For a move of just a week or so, you can fill out a temporary change of address form at the post office and they will forward the mail to whereveer you are for that time period. IF you fill it out well in advance they will be very accurate with it. I am not sure if they can do it for just a few days though - I'd just ask at the post office. Maybeyou have someone that could pick up mail for you?

I called the schools and let them know my situation. A few of the schools made note of it in my file, while others said that I would have to call back to notify them on the date I wanted my main address changed. Other schools said that they wouldn't be mailing anything via snail mail during that time so I wouldn't need to worry about it. All the schools were very understanding and didn't seem to mind, it's a pretty common situation, I'm sure.
