At my school, they offer this small 2 week term where you can take a handful of classes. Think of a summer term but with even less time. I'm thinking about taking a class during this time but have to spend 3 hours there, every day, for the entire break.

Should I do it? Has anyone done something like this before? My counselor says that they are extremely fast paced and condensed.

My cousin is on a university football team and had a 1.7 gpa, he took some summer classes and ones like you described, got 4 credits and bumped his gpa 2.7+.
Defiantly worth it.

Depends on the class. I usually use summer quarter to do one hard class, so I can spend all my time on it.

I did a winterim history/film class over break one year. Got a slightly lower grade than I would have if I had taken it during the semester (less time to write the papers), but it was worth it. I took 18 credits that semester, and 3 of those were the winterim class, so I only had 15 credits of classes during the semester itself. It was nice.

Just don't take a class where you'll have to learn a lot of information, because you'll end up spending all your time out of class on it as well.
