Hi,

At the school I attend, biochemistry is offered through the Biology and Chemistry department. I only intended to take it through the Chemistry department but a few weeks into school I am realizing that I am enrolled in both. If I withdrew from the biology biochem class, how would that look on my medical school application/ would I have the chance to explain myself.

I have not withdrew from any other courses.

Talk to your academic advisor/registrar and see if they can administratively remove you from one of them without giving you a W (assuming these classes are identical/cross-listed).

As long as you don't have a bunch of other withdrawals that might indicate a red flag then you should be fine. One or two won't really hurt you, especially in this case where you're still taking the course. If you do well in it then even better.
