I am currently a Freshman and was wondering how withdrawing from a non-science class looks to admissions committees. It is a class with an awful grade distribution (on average 3/90 receive and A). It is a New Testament class so I question whether it matters.

My current GPA is 3.91 and they rest of this semester is rocky with organic etc... I feel I need to preserve the GPA and not take a hit with a religious studies class.

Drop it.

I had 5+ Ws, not an issue.

How about the 13 credit hour situation? I took 17 my first semester and the 13 this semester is composed of Bio, Bio Lab, Organic, Spanish, and a research credit. Is that solid enough?

You will have 13 after the drop, for a 15 hour avg for freshman year? That's fine...don't sweat it.

its your freshman year.. it doesnt matter. i used to get worked up about b's my freshman year, then once i got to sophomore year, i realized that when med schools see ALL my A's sophomore year, theyre not going to care about a B here or there, or 4 less units way back when. the important thing is YOUR STORY - who you are what u have to bring to the table, and this is shown through performance over time.
