Just wanted to get some opinions on this... If, hypothetically, an applicant was certain that s/he was only going to a school if there was some sort of scholarship offered, should that applicant withdraw as soon as decisions about scholarships are sent? OR, is it possible that when others withdraw, the scholarships they would have gotten will be subsequently offered to another candidate?
Does anyone know of a case where someone got a "We regret to inform you" letter about scholarships and then closer to May 15th (or afterwards) received a letter saying "Weeee, here's a scholarship"?
Personally, I certainly want to withdraw ASAP so others can get acceptances, I just don't want to close any doors. Thoughts? I posted this in pre-allo, too, but I figured there could be pertinent thoughts in both forums....
