COuldnt find a thread on this topic from this year so i thought id be the one to ask...

when is the deadline to withdraw from schools youve been accepted to. I know Case Western says May1, and I think AAMC says after may 15 schools can kick you off their lists if you are holding spots at multiple schools.

anybody know the real story? I still havent heard back regarding fin aid from a few schools and one said they would get back to me early june!

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is the truth.

It doesn't happen automatically, and they may or may not give you warning before they take away your spot, but for all intents and purposes you should be holding onto only one acceptance after May 15th.

May 15th is when you have to pick one acceptance (you can stay on multiple waitlists). Schools that start classes in July have an earlier deadline (like Case Western).

does anyone know how strict this is?

it would be tough to decide on a school if they havent given me the aid package details yet...

I can't think of why a school wouldn't make sure the packages were out before then?

Were you accepted very recently or off the waitlist? Because in that case it would make sense and you could probably ask the schools to give you some leeway.

Actually, four of the schools I've been accepted to won't give me any financial aid info until June (and i was accepted to all of them before December). I personally think that's very messed up of them, and I'm not going to feel guilty when I hold more than one acceptance post-may 15. Money is a huge factor for me. I think that forcing us to make a decision like this w/o all the info we need is extremely inconsiderate of them.

I think I'm going to email the schools and ask them if I can hold on to their acceptances until I get their financial aid packages, just to make sure I won't screw myself over.

Report back what they tell you. I will be surprised if they allow you to do this.
