Here are my stats up front:
cumulative gpa 3.47 and science is 3.4 or 3.3
I have 7 withdrawals due to life circumstances. I started college at 20 and now I am 26. However, In a nutshell I have had financial and family difficulties to stay full time in college. I will graduate this fall and should increase my gpa to 3.5. I need some advice if I should complete a masters program designed for aspring medical students? Also, has anyone every gotten in with withdrawals of similar amount?

I have a couple withdrawals on my transcript and it was only brought up in one of my interviews. I think each school is different but 7 withdrawals will definitely raise some eyebrows. However, if you can land a solid MCAT and are able to explain those withdrawals well during the interview then I think you have a good shot.

I would only recommend the SMP after you've already applied once but didn't get in.

I have not had withdrawls, but it should not be a problem. If you graduate in the fall with all the prereq's, then just apply in the fall, and as long as your MCAT score starts with a 2_ (or higher) you will get into some podiatry schools with that GPA. No need for SMPs at this point.
