Hey guys! I need some advice regarding a potential class withdrawal.
I took two semesters of Physics as a junior in high school and got a C+ for both semesters. Both the grade and the credits transferred when I got into college.
I am currently a junior in college and in the middle of one of the toughest semesters so far. Last semester, I re-took the first half of physics and got an A, which replaced the C+. This brought my overall GPA up to 3.86 (my science GPA is a 3.8).
I'm currently retaking the second half of physics and while it's not a hard class, it's very time consuming (6 hours a week of class). If I get an A, it will only raise my GPA to 3.9. I'm trying to balance three different research positions, shadowing, a small student job and three graduate classes (I'm getting a masters concurrently with my BS) in addition to studying for my MCAT on May 26th. I'm so overwhelmed and I'm honestly NOT learning anything in physics-- I feel the time would be better spent putting effort into my clinical experience, the MCAT and my laboratory projects, so I've been considering whether or not I should withdraw.
My question: do you think the W for this course hurt my chances? I appreciate any advice you have to offer me.
