What's the protocol on withdrawing from the multiple seats we are holding? I emailed the school and am sending a letter...but my question is do they usually send you a confirmation that they have withdrawn your seat? I still haven't received a response back from them for the emails I sent; should I just assume they withdrew my spot?

Did you guys get letters of confirmation after you withdrew from schools?

I guess the best idea would be to call the admissions office and ask. Each school may have different requirements e.g. email, written & signed response etc.

Thats what I did (calling admissions office) when i was withdrawing from multiple interviews and will be doing the same for the multiple acceptances.

Good Luck :luck: :luck: :luck:

I just sent a letter snail mail and said my full name, my AMCAS number, and said "thanks for your consideration and offer, but I am declining my position in the entering class of 2005." I then gave them a phone number and email if there were any problems. A couple of schools sent confirmation emails, a couple didn't. Be sure to sign and date the letter. Other than that, there's really no protocol... just so long as your intent to decline is clear.
