Withdrawing from schools

Hello! Since December 1st is approaching, I was wondering, what is the procedure for withdrawing our application from consideration at certain schools? Do we go through AADSAS, contact the schools directly, or some other way?

Are we supposed to withdraw before receiving an interview invite if we have already been accepted at another school that we prefer more? Or do withdrawals only occur pre-interview after invite, post-interview, or post-acceptance?
