Hi guys,

My summer session began Monday and I know enough to want to withdraw from the class. The problem is that instead of just withdrawing from one class, my transcript will show that I withdrew from the entire summer session BECAUSE I only signed up for this one class. To be specific, here is what the website says: "A notation of "Withdrew via petition, Summer, 2011" will appear on your transcript. This notation cannot be removed. The notation is not a "W" grade and will not affect your overall GPA."

I plan to go the post-bacc program route, but I know med schools look at undergrad transcripts as well. I already have one NP grade (for a class I plan on taking again) so I don't know if this will make me look worse.

EDIT: I'm going into my senior year of college in case anyone is wondering.

My advice is to stop worrying about little things like this. If your GPA is good, you will get secondaries and an interview and can explain any withdrawals then. If I understand you correctly, your not dropping because you're doing poorly in the course so it will be fine. I doubt any med schools will filter out your application because your transcript says you withdrew summer 2011.
