Withdrawing from waitlist

I have been lucky enough to be accepted to a med school I have decided to attend. However, I also interviewed at one other school and am currently on the waitlist. I am going to email this school today and withdraw my spot on the waitlist.

I also applied to a bunch of other schools and have received either rejection emails or not heard anything. I don't have to email those schools I haven't heard from to withdraw my app, correct? I just assumed they were silent rejections.

I just want to make sure I don't miss anything with the deadline to commit to one school coming up.

Some schools seriously still haven't sent out rejections to people they never interviewed? That's crazy!
You don't need to withdraw from schools you haven't interviewed at, since you aren't holding an acceptance there.

1) You may withdraw from the waitlist school, however you are not obliged to if you think there is any chance you would attend there if taken off the waitlist before the first day of orientation of your current acceptance school. The upcoming April 30 "deadline" refers only to schools where you currently hold an acceptance. You can hold as many waitlist schools as you like.

2) You don't have to do anything.

If you would rather go to the school that you have been accepted at, I would just go ahead and drop the waitlist. If that is not the case, then just hold on for the wait.
