What does everyone think of this? The summer after I graduate I know I'm going to be starting some clinical research, or I may even be doing it starting in the spring sometime. My question is, since a lot of schools seem to ask about extra activities on their secondaries, should I withhold things I did after graduation so I have something to talk about? My activities in college are pretty sparse:

-Clinical volunteering-200 hours as escort/front desk (summers)
-United Way Volunteering-about 100 hours (maybe)
-Religious volunteering (no real contact info for supervisor...my dad's friend asked me to build a stage, organize children's part of the festival, in charge admissions, so does this really count?...i did it for 2 summers, 40-50 hours total)
-Research for a year
-Intramural sports, stupid clubs...the usual pre-med stuff, honors, awards, etc...below avg. by SDN standards....

If I do the clinical research and other volunteering/tutoring later in the year (applying next year), should I wait until secondaries to mention it? I don't want to turn in an empty secondary, obviously, but if my activities are too sparse on the primary, I feel like I won't even get the secondary offers...

Anybody have any advice on what they would do, or what they are doing this year? I'm not applying til next year anyway...thanks in advance for your replies...

i dont know.. i dont think that sounds below average at all.. by why withhold? i have a lot of repeating info from my amcas in my secondaries

Well I thought I read that some secondaries want you to provide something different than what you put on your secondaries...from the look of JHUs secondary this year, they look like they want you to just explain your AMCAS activities further than normal, but I remember looking through some, including USFs old secondaries that want new information...i think they usually say something like "if you have any new information about post-secondary activities, etc, talk about them here...only put info that isn't listed on AMCAS"...

i'm guessing the schools you're applying to are of the first type, but in case i do have schools with the second type, i thought i should keep one or two from being mentioned, and then put that info in secondaries or update letters to the other schools...thanks for your comments ar2388...anybody else in the same situation?
