What does everyone think of this? The summer after I graduate I know I'm going to be starting some clinical research, or I may even be doing it starting in the spring sometime. My question is, since a lot of schools seem to ask about extra activities on their secondaries, should I withhold things I did after graduation so I have something to talk about? My activities in college are pretty sparse:
-Clinical volunteering-200 hours as escort/front desk (summers)
-United Way Volunteering-about 100 hours (maybe)
-Religious volunteering (no real contact info for supervisor...my dad's friend asked me to build a stage, organize children's part of the festival, in charge admissions, so does this really count?...i did it for 2 summers, 40-50 hours total)
-Research for a year
-Intramural sports, stupid clubs...the usual pre-med stuff, honors, awards, etc...below avg. by SDN standards....
If I do the clinical research and other volunteering/tutoring later in the year (applying next year), should I wait until secondaries to mention it? I don't want to turn in an empty secondary, obviously, but if my activities are too sparse on the primary, I feel like I won't even get the secondary offers...
Anybody have any advice on what they would do, or what they are doing this year? I'm not applying til next year anyway...thanks in advance for your replies...
