Are flats appropriate? under pants OR skirt?

I know that heels are more professional but I am wondering if flats will be alright too

thanks!

Trust me...wear flats or a low inched heels. If you normally don't wear heels now is NOT the time to start wearing them. Usually at the end of the interview there is a tour given of the campus and if you are thinking about how badly your feet hurt or if you can't feel your feet at all, you will not enjoy yourself.

I wore heels and brought flats to change into for tour/getting there/leaving. Second that if heels are a new thing for you, just go with flats, don't experiment with painful feet on an important day : )!

Thank you guys! someone just told me that flats + skirt is not professional looking so I was just being super paranoid 🙁

I wear a pants suit for interviews, so wearing flats really doesn't look that much different than wearing pumps (besides the lack of me wobbling around with throbbing feet). That being said, if you're wearing a skirt, I think some sort of dressy flat (not a ballet flat), or something with a small heel would be the best choice. You could always also wear "loafers"...kind of old lady-ish professional.

i plan on wearing flats with a pencil skirt, blouse, and blazer, and i don't think there's anything unprofessional about that

I wore a pair of naturalizer heels. They are really comfortable.
