I am minoring in Women's Studies: gender and health. I asked for my aacomas primary to be updated with this information, since it was a recent decision to finish the minor, and what they ended up doing was putting "Social Sciences" in the 2nd major category.

I am a little worried because 1- social sciences isnt my minor at all, although that is what WS classes are classified as. and 2-why the hack dont they have womens studies?

Should I leave it as is? or ask them to take it off? I guess if I make sure I mention my minor in womens studies to the schools that should be ok...? 😕

I would try to get it corrected. I needed something corrected and it was actually fairly easy. I emailed them and they said I could change it myself and resubmit. I made the change, hit submit, and then a new copy was sent to schools on Tuesday with a big stripe across the top that said revised and specified what was changed.

They can't put every single major ever on the list. My major was not there either.

I was worried it would be mis-representative of what I have actually done while in undergrad. Thanks for your input! I didn't realize that Minors were considered so minor 😉 All feedback is useful feedback

Ugh, what a sexist male chauvinist school what doesn't allow for it to be called womyn's studies.

All kidding aside, I bet "social science" is just a banner to encompass all majors/minors under that field which are not on their list. I would still contact them to be sure.

We don't care about minors, or even majors. Your performance in your courses is what counts.
