Wonder how this will impact services and also payments for services …

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I have zero problem opting out of Medicare if it becomes the least bit cumbersome. Plenty of other, higher paying work, and an ever larger share of cash pay clinical over the years.
Indeed. Which would be sad, because there are a lot of Medicare (and other insurance) patients who need services.

Unfortunately, the answer to the original question is in Musk's head and no where else currently. Maybe check his X posts for reliable information. This is where we are in the world currently.

Well, this is what their cohort voted for, they can deal with the consequences of that vote.
I feel bad as a clinician, but I’m also in the camp of “play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”

There are a lot of Medicare and Medicaid pts, though, who didn’t vote for the world’s richest person to possibly suggest eliminating or reducing entitlement programs. Not really sure what swing voters were thinking though TBH if they cared at all about these programs, as they constitute an enormous part of the federal budget.

I agree with everything you said here. But, I'm done with trying to minimize collateral damage. Maybe when those people's loved ones who did vote that way, see the extent of the very real issues, they'll take action. Not my circus, not my monkeys anymore.
