I recently called and was told by someone working at AADSAS that my Psychology Statistics course would not be included in my science GPA, simply because the course description begins with "Psychology." This is very irritating because I got an A in the course, and at my school, psych stats can be used in place of calculus for math credit. Also, the psych stats course had hardly anything to do with pyschology, it was just a statistics class based on information obtained from pysch studies.

If my school recognizes it as a legit math class, why won't AADSAS? Any way I can talk to someone to see if I can get it under my sciGPA??

Thanks.

Psyschology in general does not count toward science GPA.

If AADSAS does not see it this way, I'm afraid there is nothing you can do.

haha if you psych stats was as easy as the psych stats at my school (used for science stats requrement but not calc and such) im afraid that would be why...

It seems unfair but if you could only imagine the number of courses that are in that "Gray Area" from almost every college and university out there. It makes sense, time wise, to just make it strict black and white for course description. If they decided to take more time out to investigate these classes, then people would complain about how long it takes them to verify everything. It's unfortunately a no-win situation.

Simply b/c Psych Stats is a freaking JOKE...there really isn't any other reason.

Frankly, I'm surprised your school allows you to substitute Psych Stats for Calculus. My calc class was ridiculously hard and time consuming.

How about biology stats?

its listed under a statistics course? STAT350

Does this count towards sci gpa?

yeah, I can see your point. And yes, that class was extremely easy lol. But still it would have been nice to have it count. Thanks for your thoughts.
