Work/activities HIPAA violation?

In my work/activities section, I talk about a patient at the place I currently work at as an ER scribe. I don't give his name, address, anything concrete like that, but I do mention the type of cancer he had and the rather unique situation he was in. Could this, combined with the fact that I list my hospital, be a HIPAA violation? (And it is definitely impossible that any adcom would personally know this guy or his family)
 
no there are people describing events like this all the time in their personal statements...as long as no personal identifying information was used, you're fine.
