Not all public health is boring! 🙂

I'm a CPA who did Bank auditing 🙁 for 5 years and have done programming the last 3 years. I sure am going to miss a paycheck come August.

Job very few pre-meds have done:

Spent 3 years working on locations for 5 feature length films (both independents and studio projects). Movies someone might have heard of: "Good Will Hunting', "Amistad", "Next Stop Wonderland". Got to work with some "interesting" actors...(insert catty anecdote here) and directors.

More traditional stuff:

Worked as a clinical assistant at Planned Parenthood for 1 year.
Worked at an internist's office for roughly 2 years (basic nursing type stuff)
Worked as a personal trainer for 2 years.

What a long strange trip it's been...

🙄

I've been a research assistant for the entomology dept (bugs!); a research fellow for the Med dept (immunology); and taught Ochem for a couple of years. Got a full-time teaching gig right now.
