Hello! I am going to start my work experience this upcoming summer and was wondering how people kept track of their hours. This question has probably been asked earlier but any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Also, when volunteering, what should we look to accomplish and learn from that particular experience?

Any advice on work experience would help me greatly!

Thanks

Spreadsheet.

And yes, definitely perform a search for previous threads on this subject. You will find plenty of good reading regarding all things observation hours.

Excel all the way. I updated after each session so I wouldn't forget and be scrambling at the end. I would also make a little note if I observed something different than usual in that particular setting (ie, pediatrics, aqua, pelvic)

I had a scrap piece of paper stuck to my fridge with a kids magnet. It worked, but probably not recommended. In full disclosure, I was applying to a school that had no formal hours requirement.

Spreadsheet is definitely the way to go. I documented the facility, the PT I observed specifically, the patient population I was serving and anything I learned or observed that day just in case I had to describe what I learned from each specific experience. Good luck!
