I do a bit of receptionist work for a family member that is under the table because the number of hours are quite insignificant. Can I put this on my application under work experience ? Or should I not because it cannot be verified.

I mean regardless of whether its for a family member or not, if the hours are insignificant, the experience is likely insignificant... seems like you would be reaching for ECs at that point.

If it strengthens you as an applicant and makes your application unique, add it.

No. Nobody cares that you know how to answer a phone or send a fax, unless this was a long experience that one could argue gave you more responsibility during your coursework. Desperate applications can send then wrong message.
