work in pharmacy???

So as I'm gathering valuable information from posts in this forum about AMCAS, do you think working in a Pharmacy is clinical experience? I tried to figure out on myself by what people have been defining it as, but don't want to put it in the wrong spot and look like a complete dumb a**. I mean you deal with patients, doctors, insurance, etc. By the way, it is a retail setting, not a hospital one.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

No, it is not clinical experience. There is no clinic at Walgreen's. There are no physicians at a retail pharmacy, and the presence of patients AND physicians defines a "clinical setting."

If you worked in a hospital, then you could get by with calling it clinical experience.

It's not a clinical experience, its just work experience. I've been doing it for the past 3 years, and my time there and volunteering in the hospital is MUCH different. I think it would be a big mistake to list it as a clinical experience.
