Work Prospects for B.C., Canada

Hey,
Recently I have heard that the work prospects for the future aren't too great for optometrists in B.C. Canada. Does anybody know about these prospects or know where I can find more information about them, particularly for the Lower Mainland in British Columbia, Canada? I plan to finish my education in about six years time.

i heard from an optomatrist that the prospects were good in general in bc, and they get better the farther u go from main cities
