Is anyone involved in activities through your school where you mentor or recruit high school students who want to become pharmacists? I am a prepharm, but wanted to know if any current students do this type of stuff.

Right now I am going through a career change, and it is my last week as a high school teacher!!! For the most part, this is something I have been looking forward to for months. :D However, I am having some teary goodbyes with kids and want to know if I will have any chances in the future to work with kids. Besides, I think a lot of excellent students who are interested in healthcare get snatched up by MD/DO/DDS aspirations without considering pharmacy because they just don't know enough about it.

Are there any opportunities to work with kids in your school? (Through recruiting efforts, mentoring, volunteer work, projects, shadowing, tutoring, career days, etc.)
