Hi all,
I know the general advice is to not work during Med school. However, I have the opportunity to work full time by only working Sat-Sun every week with ample study time at work. My salary is high enough to cover all living expenses and keep loans to tuition only. Does this sound feasible or reasonable? Why or why not? Currently accepted MD student.

Just remember that your success in med school = your success in residency and the rest of your career. In the long run, is the money you earn in med school worth jeopardizing that?

Beyond general advice, I was under the impression that med schools specifically prohibited this. Am I misinformed? If working is permissible and your hours are limited to weekends, while being on the clock for ample study time, there is no reason not to do this!
