Working Hours After Residency

Is there anyway to work long days and then have like have a few days off or say work long days like 18 hour days for seven days and then have half a week off? I would rather work a large day and then have a few days off? is this practical? are there night shifts for anes.?

There are many different models that different groups follow. Some split hours evenly for the entire year and apportion shifts appropriately. Some allow you to work however much you like and thus make more or less money. In Dallas alone, there are more than a half dozen working models alone.
