Working Hours for Optometrist?

I thought that optometrists work good hours, but I recently read in many posts in this forum that they have to work on Saturdays and evenings? If you are an optometrist or know an optometrist, please tell me your working hours and days and if you have to work on Saturdays/Sundays? Please tell me if you are in private practice or not. Thank you! 😀

In Private Practice.
Work 8:30-4:30 Wed afternoons off.
Work an occassional Saturday morning 8:30-1:00 to get caught up

Good hours: private practice or employment by private OD, private MD, or gov. agency

Bad hours: retail chains

Yup, retail and commercial optometry has lead the charge into working evenings and weekends.

Some private practices are following suit just to compete.
