I don't have much time. My practice exam scores are very low (14). I have been scoring between 13-16 on the sciences. I am scoring 18's on CRACK DAT PAT and 19 on CRACK DAT Reading.

I have Chad's videos, online Kaplan materials, Barron's AP Bio, and Destroyer. I will soon get topscore.

What would you all do in my situation?

Should I just keep on doing Chad's quizzes until I understand all the quiz content?? I don't know if I will have time to go through all the GC videos again. I took thorough notes and completed GC and almost done watching O Chem and taking notes on these.

I am reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy worrying :scared: can someone help me here?

Do your best studying; reschedule if you need to. It's not the end of the world to push it back. Personally, I would prefer my practice AA to be around 20 at least.

Make sure you understand everything. I took it once and felt that I didn't study enough. So, I'm going to get more material to study on.

Are you at least going over every test problem and making sure you underestand why you missed that question? I am assuming the practice exams are the online Kaplan stuffs. A few members who studied their mistakes religiously on those tests ended up with phenomenal scores on the real deal.... so be sure to cover your mistakes.

How are you doing with destroyer Gc and Orgo? How many times have you grone through them?

IMO, your 2nd and 3rd passes with destroyer are best indication of your readyness. You should be able to get most of the problems right (80%+).

I am re-doing all of chads quiz problems and studying his answers and doing each quiz until I get a 100% at least twice. I am also reading through my notes on chads. You think this is straight?

As far as Kaplan goes, I am also trying to do the same thing. I have been getting 50-60% right on the subject tests. They are hard! But, mostly silly mistakes I have found out.

I have tried to use your method for Destroyer actually! However, I will never finish the book if I only do 30 problems a day per section. To be honest with you, I have only really done about 20-30 problems from each section so far and don't even remember them...

How do you suggest I modify your study schedule for that? 50 problems per section per day? It just seems like too much in one day. I am already studying 12+ hours a day as it is...

Wait... If follow the 30-ish problems per day per section... You can cover the entire destroyer 2x times in a matter of 3 weeks.... Ofc I am referring to 2010 version.

And your right about the 50/per day, its too much. I know some people can do the entire GC in like 3-4 days, but I don't think many people can pull that off.

Chads quizzes are good, and I have no experience with kaplan material, I hear theyr good. But from personal experience, DAT destroyer is key. You should focus most of your energy into including the destroyer (at least GC and orgo ~ you can forget its bio if your short on time). Try to cover 40 Orgo and 40 GC problems every day (from now till you take the test).... If you see yourself still struggling exactly 2 weeks from today, postpone your date..... By "strugglign" I mean still missing 50-60%

Thanks, that sounds like a good plan and yes I have the 2010 edition. But, what do I do about Bio then? Is destroyer bio not enough? I got the AP Barons and the Kaplan, but man there are so many pages and problems.. I just feel overwhelmed I guess haha

Your going to get 2 (opposite) answers regarding Destroyer's Bio. I believe its not helpful, its too random, and focuses too hard into minute details. Ofc, that doesn't mean you shouldn't cover it, but since there is a timeline constraint, your better off focusing on the bigger stuff from destroyer (GC and Orgo).

Cliff's AP, Kaplan's blue's Bio, and whatever practice problems you come across from practice tests is your best Biology preparation for the time you have. There are a few chapters in Campbells that many people are raving about these days, do them if you have the time.

Sounds good. Thanks.

Just a thought...why dont you sign up for DatQvault...seems to be a good resource and also easily managable when compared with Destroyer Bio...

I signed up for it a couple of weeks ago. It seems pretty good too. I am having trouble finding how to unlock the rest of the questions for free though.

Do you think I should just practice as many questions or keep reading AP Barrons?

TO unlock free questions you need to provide a question and last I had read, they were looking for questions on Chemistries and possibly QR, not 100% sure for the QR part...

Questions are good because it will make you think to apply the knowledge..but as DW said..doing Destroyer Bio will be daunting...so use other resources the do questions and also ready topics you are weak at..

True, I guess I will just do as much as I can... I will look into that add a question thing as well. Thanks.

How are you guys going over destroyer?

I am doing 100 of O chem then 100 of gen chem a day in the AM.... then i take detailed notes on the answers and study those in the PM along with my chad notes. Then I get up and do it again. (this is my ochem/gchem study plan).

This way I cover chads in 3 days and repeat. I should have roughly 16 sets by the time I take the DAT (I like to liken it to a work out routine). Because there are about ~ 260 problems I'm doing different blend of questions every day.
1-100 the first, 101-200 the second, then 201-40 the third etc etc. keeps changing up.

imo i think you should push your test date back....at least another 3-4 weeks. there's no way you're going to be prepped for the real deal in 18 days if you haven't finished the destroyer yet and get some practice in from topscore/dat achiever/kaplan. managing all that in just 18 days......you gotta buckle down mann. and stay off the forums so you can studyy
