Worries about course withdrawals

Greetings. I am new to this website so please excuse my ignorance. I was wondering about course withdrawals, which is, will they hurt the chances of getting into a medical school? I have 4 but I do not plan on getting any more withdrawals if all goes well. Please give me some insight. Thank you in advance.

They obviously won't help your cause, but I've heard of plenty of individuals gaining acceptance with a handful of withdrawals. Of course in your specific case there's only one way to find out 😉.

On a side note, it would be wise to have a decent explanation for them (aside from 'I didn't think I was going to 4.0 the class so I dropped it').
