My mother told me it would make her so proud.
So I can self-prescribe narcotics.
I was watching gray's anatomy and i was like "i could totally do this"
Grey's. 🙂I was watching gray's anatomy and i was like "i could totally do this"
I saw too many episodes of MASH. Which is kinda like wanting to be a doctor because you saw too many episodes of ER, Grey's Anatomy, or Scrubs, except that in addition to becoming a doctor I also need to find a way to travel back in time to Korea in the 1950's.

A real one this premed on my campus told me: I wanna be a doctor because I want to be able to have access to clean needles....
"Because my mom told me I had to become a doctor"
-Anyone from South Asia will know what I'm talking about.
Chicks, money, power, and chicks
So maybe we should list religiously watching MASH as an EC.
Because I want to meet someone who will laugh at my biochem storiesOddly enough, the MASH tv series did help me remember one concept in a biochem class.
We were going over how hemolytic anemia can occur in patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, in response to certain conditions (consumption of fava beans being a classical example). The professor also mentioned that certain antimalarial drugs, such as primaquine, can also cause this, particularly amongst those of African or Mediterranean background where G6PDD is of higher incidence.
Then he goes on to say something like: "A good example of this was that episode of MASH where Klinger, who is Lebanese, takes primaquine and has an adverse reaction to it. You know? The one where he mixes up the order for the malaria drugs and Colonel Potter gets really mad at him. Has anyone seen that episode, you know what I'm talking about?"
I'm about to say I knew what episode he was referencing...
"I guess not. I suppose no one here is that old to have seen it."
I'm not old ... I saw it in syndication
