Hope everyone who took the MCAT today did well!
Anyways here's my story....
I've been thinking/planning of the MCAT for almost the last two years, arranged my schedule, researched the necessary books I had to get, made the timeline, saved up money and made the sacrifices, all that good stuff. Signed up for the 9/11 MCAT. Set aside this entire summer for MCAT studying, no vacations, no drinking, minimal social events...pretty much locked myself in the library June 1 to begin studying. Everything was going great, my first practice MCAT (Aug 1) I scored a 34 and never looked back, by the end (last 3-4 practice tests) I was consistently averaging 37 and feeling great.
So, I came home on Thursday to chill out and relax before the big day. Finally the day had arrived, I could take the test, get back to life and finish my senior year. My parents take me out to dinner Thursday night... To make a long story short, I spent most of Friday bent over the toilet bowl regurgitating all the the lovely stuff you learn about in the EK Bio digestive system chapter. Up all night Friday getting sick trying to convince my parents not to bring me to the ER. I was determined to make it to the test center to take my test, made it half way through PS and felt that all to familiar feeling. I luckily made it to the bathroom in time but the damage was done. I was forced to void.
So here I am. Friday evening. Climbed down from the roof. Finally feeling a little better physically, but not so well mentally. It kinda sucks but worse things could happen.
So, what do I do now? The next available test isn't until Jan 28. All the AAMC practice tests have been finished and scrutinized. 95% of BR passages completed. I think I have reached my peak and am afraid that the only way for my score to go is down. I'm thinking of signing up for a PR course for the semester, just to keep on track and the additional study materials. I really don't know what else to do. Should I take a couple of weeks off, then just start up a 4 month schedule again from the beginnning? Should I eventually redo the passages? How about the AAMC tests?
