Is it worth adding extra schools to my list as last minute additions right now? Not sure if it's worth the extra $ seeing that a month's worth of secondaries are piling up at these schools already. Specifically considering some of the following: Rush, Loyola, Rosalind Franklin, UMiami, Penn State, Wake Forest. LizzyM 72-74

all top 20s except the top 5s and UW, baylor, case, uva, emory, all UC (not UCR), aecom, UCincy, rochester, usc, boston, ohio state, tufts, MCW, stony brook, thomas jefferson, SLU, loma, hofstra, SUNY downstate/buffalo,

sounds like a substantial amount of schools already, if only slightly top-heavy

If your ECs are in order then I don't think you need to add any more since you have plenty of schools. A LizzyM of 72-74 is pretty great, especially if 3.7-3.8/35-36.

But it seems like you are a cali applicant, so I can understand the anxiety. If you do decide to add more schools, it is not too late by any means.

schools like loyola, rosalind, and rush (according to msar) don't have the most encouraging stats for OOS interviewed/OOS applicants, any comments on these?

I don't think it is an in-state bias; just people familiar with these schools tend to be from IL. Rush students generally have a TON of community service and clinical experience... I think it was like 600 and 1200 hours for the average matriculant (I might have the two numbers swapped)

Non WWAMI resident and applying to University of Washington? The OOS statistics for UW are pretty abysmal just a heads up.

sorry for wording, I'm not applying to UW. I meant top 20 except (top 5 and UW). I've heard about UW/Oregon so didn't apply to either as a CA resident.

Thanks for tip on Rush starlite, won't apply. Prob gonna add Miami

I was complete at one school in early sept and got an interview invite. I'm not a remarkable applicant either with a lizzy M of 69.

Edit: Relevant. The school was miami.

YMMV

So not too late to add schools. I submitted my primary around September 6 of last year with 8 schools and I added 8 more a month later. Garnered more than one acceptance with a lower LizzyM (but I had a good story and decent ECs).
