Just wanted an opinion on whether it was worth applying anywhere or not. I was working 40+ hours a week when studying for the DAT last year so not my greatest attempt but I don't feel it was terrible either.

DAT: PA 18, QR 18, RC 23, Bio 14, GC 19, OC 16, TS 16, AA 18
GPA from Ohio State Biology Program: 3.5
Science GPA is about a 3.3

I also have a lot of work experience and extracricuulars (Scholars program at my uni as well as clubs)
Thanks for the help guys!

That 14 in Bio doesn't really look good. You're planning on applying in the upcoming 2015-2016 cycle right? You have plenty of time to study hard for the DAT, retake it, kill it, and apply early. If you can bump those DAT scores up then, with your GPA, work experience, and ECs, you'll have a good shot!

Good luck!

A retake will be necessary. I worked full-time while taking all my prereqs but went down to 24 hours a week when I studied for the DAT. Use Chad's videos, DAT Destroyer, Bootcamp, Feralis' notes and you will be good to go. Aim for 20+

I would retake. Nice RC score though and the GPA looks fine.

That Bio score is killing you, I would do DAT Destroyer biology(understand each question and all answer choices, even the wrong ones). I would also study Feralis Notes.
DAT destroyer would help with Math, Ochem and Gchem too. I'm sure that with a good study plan and execution, you can bump all your scores up to 17+, which would give you a good chance at lot of dental schools.

You need to retake especially since you are a biology major and got such a low bio score. That is going to raise some red flags for many adcoms. Study hard and I'm sure you can get at least a 20. Good luck!

just like others mentioned you definitely need to retake. Both Bio and OC are killing you. What resources did you use to study for your DAT?

Bio was my lowest section the first time I took the exam. After using a YouTube channel called Bozeman Science injunction with DAT bootcamp, my score was brought up to a 21.
I also worked full time during my first attempt. If dental is your career passion, you have to go to your employer and let them know the situation. In most cases, they will understand and give you space for your study period.

As a general rule, you want to keep everything AT LEAST a 17 to stay competitive. So I would retake before applying again. That being said, you look in good condition besides that. If you can average ~20 in each section, you'll be a shoe in for interviews. Just make sure you got a good letter of rec!
