I've been working at a retail store part time for the past 4 years and was wondering if I should put it on the work expeirence section of the online application. It's not on my current resume due to lack of space but there is space for it on the online app. So should I leave it or not?? Thanks!

put it on there! more experience the better. and retail stuff looks good too because it shows you have experience working with people/dealing with customers.

You should definitely put it in your application. it is part of who you are and shows that you can commit to a job and your supervisor thought you were worth keeping for four years.

Do it, if you haven't filled up the maximum number of work experiences already. I certainly put down my retail work experience; it's completely relevant for all the reasons already stated and then some.

Thanks for the advice. While it'd be nice if I was selling toothpaste, selling anything and working with customers is a good skill as you have all said.

Psh, toothpase!? Selling coffee is the way to go my friend, met plenty of docs (dentists, mds, etc) that way, lots of great conversations and information gained. 😛

Why wouldn't you?!?!

Why hold back on things that add to your profile as a candidate?!

Retail I've heard, is one of the strongest things they look for applicants.
Shows having to do customer service, deal w/ all kinds of a people on a regular basis, etc.

👍

Put it on there - it shows dedication and shows you have people skills!

I agree with all of the above. It'd be a sin if you didn't put that on there.

I'm sure you're convinced at this point...

Haha, I am for sure. It's nice that I sell video games too, deal with all age groups, especially parents and their children...freakin M games.
