Worth Resending Transcripts?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
And why did you send in transcripts before your final in progress grades posted? You are stuck with your before GPA. (Not at my computer,
power out at home: Please correct me: but you can only send one transcript to AMCAS unless they undeliver your application. Can you ask AMCAS to undeliver your application? Are you already verified?)

Sorry to hop on this thread but submission of applications to AMCAS starts on 5/31 this year so I think @fxryker should be ok just resubmitting the updated transcript. And I also remember seeing a thread where the OP asked AAMC and they confirmed that they only used the transcript from the most recent date during verification so the second one for all intents and purposes "overrides" the first one, assuming they are both received prior to submission.

And sorry if I'm misinterpreting any of the points being brought up.

I was recommended to by two ADCOMs and my advisor:

"Once transcripts are received by AMCAS, it can take up to 15 business days to process electronically submitted transcripts."

Which at worst is the second week of June. I was more so curious if a 0.03 +/- 0.01 difference in GPA even mattered.

I think it is important not to send in transcripts with more than one semester being in-progress. It depends what your classes are that you need grades for. AMCAS does not offer academic update windows at last check, unlike other CAS processes. (The COVID spring 2020 grade delays and P/F resets were a source of a lot of anxiety for this reason.)

If your app has not finished the verification process, check with AMCAS on what they advise. The previous poster suggests you are fine. (I'll breathe a bit easier now.)

NOTE: the consensus advice i have been taught and given has always been "apply early but apply with a complete application earlier." Meaning do it right once.

Read page 64 of the AMCAS manual
It looks to me that they won't add changes/recalculate your GPA if you send new information about current classes after submission.

Since you haven't submitted yet, you could message them & see whether sending your complete transcript is preferred.
The miniscule GPA difference is not important.

Just to update this thread with a concrete answer regarding transcript resubmission for anyone else with a similar question:

AMCAS replied with the following:
"AMCAS will use the most recent or current official transcript on file during the verification process. Please note an application may take six-eight weeks to be verified, regardless of when it was submitted."
