So as the new year comes around the hunt for summer opportunities is on my mind. So far I have not found many summer internships that off some clinical experience. About 95% of them seem to be research internships. Off of the top of my head I can only think of the Cleveland Clinic, Broughton Hospital (through Davidson college) and one at Pace University. Does anyone know of any others?

Also, I've already looked at the APA's website so I know the listed ones there, but again they are almost all research.

The question is....what do you want to get out of it? There is a good reason why the summer internships are research internships: research internships help develop research skills and thus help students get into graduate school. Clinical work takes training and most undergraduates have not had the level of training needed to get a real clinical internship. There are undergraduate-level clinical jobs (e.g., psych tech, and other paraprofessional jobs).....but I've rarely heard of psychology-focused undergraduate clinical internships. Having clinical experience is NOT a pre-requisite to getting into grad school!
