Hi,
Would going back to school for an accelerated BSN in nursing affect my overall undergrad GPA when applying to med school? Considering that it is a bachelors in nursing, I think it would affect my GPA...

Any undergraduate-level coursework that you take post secondary school "counts" towards your uGPA. It's the uGPA that is most closely scrutinized in terms of medical school admissions.

Absolutely. What do you want to do? If medicine is it, the courses will be different even from those for nursing. You should make a decision before taking more classes. I'm guessing that you're not an RN yet, since you mentioned the accelerated nursing degree. If you're not there yet and nursing isn't what you want, DON'T do it. Your time is better spent working on a post-bacc if you intend to go to medical school.

Don't worry about your undergrad GPA too much. Focus on deciding what you want, and it will fall into place once you've made that decision.
